Information We Collect
MindMentor collects the following information: • Account information (email, display name) stored securely in Azure Entra External ID • Onboarding responses (health goals, preferences) stored locally on your device • Mood entries, journal entries, gratitude entries, sleep logs stored locally on your device • Chat messages sent to our AI wellness companion, processed through Azure OpenAI • Assessment results (PHQ-9, GAD-7) stored locally on your device We do NOT collect location data, contacts, photos (camera is used only during onboarding and is not transmitted), or browsing history.
How We Use Your Information
• To provide personalized wellness support through our AI companion • To maintain your account and enable sign-in • To process chat messages through Azure OpenAI for AI responses • To manage subscriptions through RevenueCat We do NOT use your health data for advertising. We do NOT sell your personal information. We do NOT share your health data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.
Data Storage & Security
Most of your personal health data (mood entries, journal entries, sleep logs, gratitude entries, assessment results, safety plans) is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. Only the following data is transmitted to our servers: • Authentication tokens (Azure Entra External ID) • Chat messages (Azure Communication Services + Azure OpenAI) • Subscription status (RevenueCat) All server communications use TLS 1.2+ encryption.
Your Rights
You have the right to: • Access your personal data • Delete your data (Settings > Privacy > Delete All Data) • Correct inaccurate information • Opt out of data collection • Request a copy of your data • Delete your account California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have additional rights including the right to know what data we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt-out of sale of personal information. AI Wellness Companion Disclosure
MindMentor AI is an AI wellness companion powered by Azure OpenAI. It is NOT a licensed therapist, counselor, or mental health professional. It does NOT provide medical diagnoses, treatment, or clinical advice. Chat messages are processed by Azure OpenAI to generate responses. Messages are not used to train AI models. Crisis detection protocols are in place per California SB 243 requirements.
Children & Minors
MindMentor is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 will receive periodic reminders that they are interacting with an AI system. We comply with COPPA and do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Data Breach Notification
In compliance with the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule, we will notify affected users within 60 days of discovering any unauthorized access to health-related data.
